Create a family
How to add a new family to the Vault catalog in LiquidoDocs Explorer.
Vault families
Families are free-form classifications that you can create in the Vault and associate with codes through choices.
LiquidoDocs does not impose a fixed list of families. Each Vault can have its own families, designed according to how you want to organize and find content.
Open the Families section
To create a new family, open the main menu using the Bookmark button and go to the Families section.
- Press the Bookmark button to open the main menu.
- Select the Families item to open the Vault family catalog.
Use the + button
In the Families section, press the “+” button in the central catalog to open the window for creating a new family.
Enter the family name
In the window that opens, enter the name of the new family.
- Write the name of the family to add to the Vault catalog.
- Press “OK” to create the family.
- Press “Cancel” to close the window without creating anything.
After creation
The new family is added to the central family catalog of the Vault.
After creating a family, you can add its choices. Choices are the values that can be associated with codes.
